Will the Church go through the Great Tribulation? Yes! Is the Rapture "Imminent?" No!

BASIC END TIMES: APOSTASY --> MAN OF LAWLESSNESS --> ANTICHRIST in the TEMPLE --> SECOND COMING, RAPTURE & DAY OF THE LORD “The Passover King” Travis Snow

THERE ARE 4 RAPTURE PASSAGES IN THE BIBLE: Matthew 24:29-31 (NIV) 29 "Immediately after the distress of those days "'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' 30 "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 Just like Jesus did in Matthew 24, Paul warns the Church believers that they will see the Antichrist BEFORE they are Raptured. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (NIV) 1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day (The Day of the Lord) will not come until the rebellion (The Apostasy, the falling away from the faith, Covenant of Death) occurs and the man of lawlessness (Antichrist) is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

Paul gives us three key events that are associated with the Second Coming will mark the transition into the Messianic age:

1.The Coming (Parousia) of our Lord Jesus

2.Our gathering together to Him

3.The Day of the Lord

The Wrath of God

1 Thessalonians 1:10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!

Revelation 6:17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (NIV) 13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive (at the coming of the Lord) and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.

1 Corinthians 15:50-53 (NIV) 50 I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

OTHER SCRIPTURES REFERENCED IN THE CHART

THE DAY OF THE LORD

Joel 2:30-31 30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 31 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.

Revelation 22:16 " I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star."

The Church in the Great Tribulation

Daniel 11:31-35 31 "And forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation. 32 "And by smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and take action. 33 "And those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many; yet they will fall by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder, for many days. 34 "Now when they fall they will be granted a little help, and many will join with them in hypocrisy. 35 "And some of those who have insight will fall, in order to refine, purge, and make them pure, until the end time; because it is still to come at the appointed time.

Daniel 12:3 (NASB77) 3 "And those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
