Ezekiel 38-39 tells the same End Times story as all the other OT prophets (see Zechariah 12-14, Daniel 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, Revelation 13, 17, 18, 19). Ezekiel 38-39 describes the last great war, a 42-month attack on Israel. The invading armies of Gog, the Antichrist, will come from the North. Gog, the leader of this army, is the Muslim Antichrist. Gog, aka the king of the North, arises from the area of Turkey (not Russia). Israel will be trusting the ‘False Security’ of a 7 year covenant of death. Gog will have allies, a 10 nation Muslim coalition with 10 King. Gog invades Jerusalem at the middle of Daniel’s 70th week, specifically, the battle starts with the Abomination of Desolation (Matthew 24:15). Gog’s invasion of Jerusalem will start the Great Tribulation. Gog will persecute Jews & Saints in the Great Tribulation (2nd Holocaust). Gog’s satanic campaign concludes with the Battle of Armageddon & the Day of the Lord (Second Coming). God’s purpose is to bring Israel to an end of her power, so that Israel will turn to back to Him. Gog is destroyed by Jesus Christ… Israel’s salvation immediately follows. The Controversy of Zion (Isaiah 34:8) will be a hostile territorial dispute over the land promise God gave to the nation Israel alone.
