Donnie's Remarks...

This week there are so many news stories that could have prophetic significance it is hard to know where to begin.  Ultimately, the key prophecy story we should always keep our eyes on is Israel, God's time piece for the ages.  While it is true that an economic collapse in the United States would produce global effects, I am not sure exactly what it would mean prophetically.  You see, America is not mentioned directly anywhere in Bible prophecy.  We could speculate, but the fact remains we are not told specifically in scripture what to look for as it relates to our great country.  Not so with Israel.  It is unmistakably clear what we are to be looking for to discern whether or not the end-times have begun... a seven-year covenant with Israel and the surrounding nations will be the catalyst to start the 'fires' of Daniel's 70th week.  Today Israel finds herself immersed in political problems and chaos.  Pressure is on to sign a peace agreement.  On some future day, the Jewish people will believe that this covenant of peace will protect them from war with the surrounding nations.  In reality, this seven year covenant of death will mark the rise of the Antichrist and the great tribulation for the entire world.
